Our company

First, we started as family business: a small family-run workshop opened in 1973, which has grown steadily over the years to become a solid and competitive reality.

Our Story

1973

January 2nd, Via S. Agostino, Vicenza: this is where Unic’s adventure begins, in a small but ambitious workshop.

1974

Production moves to Salcedo, in a larger facility, where the first ITS 26 automatic lathes are installed.

1976

The first transfer lathes machines are added, enhancing and expanding the tooling fleet. Production becomes more efficient and flexible.

1985

We move to the Breganze plant. After one year, we purchase our first Biglia CNC lathe.

1990-1992

These are pivotal years for Unic’s growth and structure. Our team expands, almost doubling from 8 to 15 employees! We renovate and expand the headquarters to better suit our production needs.

1995

We are ready to conquer international markets: our products and working methods are appreciated beyond Italian borders! This is also thanks to the growth of our lathing machines fleet, now featuring new lathes work centers and cutting-edge CNC lathes.

1996

Ahead of market standards, we obtain the ISO 9002 certification: quality has always been one of our main values.

2000

We continue to invest in people, the true soul of the company: by now, 50 dedicated employees are working with passion and professionalism to help Unic to grow. In this year we are awarded with the ISO 9001:2000 company certification.

2006

We purchase our first 5-axis lathe, further expanding our range of operations with different shapes and sizes.

2007-2012

Growth continues! These years mark a significant production expansion. We need more space: we design and build a new headquarters in Salcedo. In 2011, we are granted with the ISO 9001:2008 certification.

2015-2016

We can only remain competitive with up-to-date machine fleet: that is why we invest in the best technology. We acquire new software and two MURATA lathes.

2020

The pandemic challenges us, but we resist! Thanks to our work philosophy, which focuses on reducing time and costs while maintaining excellent quality, we stay competitive and look toward the future. January 20, 2020 is an important date: we join the Special Springs group!

2023

It’s the peak of our investment: first in Italy, we acquire the DMG MORI NZ4 lathe with 4 turrets.

2025

Growth continues: our team, machinery, and technical assistance capacity are expanding. We acquire the IFP Eco-power industrial washer and the Modula automatic warehouses.

50 Years of Unic

The most beautiful and lasting stories are those built on passion, courage, honesty, and shared values. Just like in happy relationships, the secret ingredient is simple: to go far, you need to walk the same path with determination.

We love celebrating important milestones together.

We had a long and challenging journey, paved with significant steps, successes, and new daily challenges, which we have always wanted to celebrate with a deep sense of family and unity that makes us truly strong and bonded.
Our first celebrations started in 1993 and 1998, two key anniversaries in our history, when we celebrated 20 and 25 years of Unic. Then again in 2005, when we chose a gem of Venetian architecture like the Palladian Villa Bressan for our event.
As nature and environmental lovers, we could not miss mountain landscapes as the backdrop, with a bike race we organized in July 2006 and a celebration at “Malga Verde” (green mountain hut) the following year. But perhaps the moment many of us will remember with a smile is our 35th anniversary, which we decided to celebrate in the ultimate fun location: Gardaland! We continued with special outings, outdoor dinners, music… every anniversary, we come up with something new because each one is unique and special!

In these 50 years, Unic has had plenty of satisfactions! In every single piece we manufacture, there is a part of us, our company, made of everything we have built and experienced in over fifty years, but above all, it is made of people. Because that is what we are—first and foremost: people who have always looked toward the same horizon with strength and determination, just like that January 2nd, more than 50 years ago!
